I fell in love with water when I was 7 years old. Dipping under the water I said to myself “I’ve come home”. Water is a safe haven for me, a place where I can truly be me, relax, and enjoy quiet
time.
I’ve been a competitive swimmer. When I finished, I hated being in water and swimming and the love I had for water was lost. I stayed away from water for ten years. Then little by little I
came back to it. Water is a living entity and I wanted to really get to know it.
As I started to understand how to be with water, and swim with it, the love I had for water returned. I instinctively knew that I wanted to share the joy of being in water.
Do you want to go fast in water? If you’re only looking at an external goal it’ll be harder.
It’s essential that you understand how water works, to understand the process. This is done by learning how to be part of the water, face in, breathing out in the water, floating, gliding to be
confident that you can stand up in deep water, and then in turn swimming in alignment with the water. You’ll then have a full range of skills enhancing the way you swim.
I work alongside you, helping you unravel any fears you may have and for you to begin to learn how to trust the water. I encourage you to take that step into the unknown, knowing you’ll rise and
be able to embrace being in water. Whatever point you’re starting from, whether fearful, wanting to build confidence, or developing technique, my coaching is focused on making you the best you can
be.
Warmly,
Siân Griffith
